Have you ever been so thirsty that all you wanted was a cold glass of ice water? There are times that our body is dehydrated and craves for water but we tend to eat food instead. We may be thirsty and we reach for all of those sugary drinks instead. After drinking what our taste buds desire to have; instead of drinking the water; our body still craves for water. Just as our physical body craves and needs water our soul also craves for spiritual sustenance. Our soul longs for the living water. In John chapter 4 there is a story about a woman at a well who had a conversation with Jesus. Jesus told her I have water that once you drink it you will never be thirsty again. The woman desired to get the living water. Jesus was talking about a spiritual experience that would quench her desires. Do you have this longing within you today? We can go after things, possessions and people and we are still not content.  God desires to fill your thirst today. The question is will you let Him.
