Sometimes God speaks through the big moments.

And sometimes He gives you a story you’ll laugh about forever.

Boundaries, But Biblical

Are boundaries actually biblical, or have we just turned “protecting our peace” into an excuse to shut people out?

In this episode of Thirty Flirty Faithful, we talk about what healthy boundaries can look like through a biblical lens. We get into people pleasing, guilt, saying no, forgiveness, difficult relationships, and the difference between loving someone and giving them unlimited access to you.

Jesus loved people deeply, but He also stepped away, said no, rested, and didn’t allow everyone the same level of closeness.

So where is the line between grace and enabling? Between forgiveness and reconciliation? Between being loving and completely abandoning yourself?

We’re talking through what we’ve learned, where we’ve struggled, and how we’re trying to build boundaries that aren’t rooted in bitterness, fear, or selfishness, but in wisdom, love, and obedience to God.

Because sometimes the most loving answer really is no.

Church hurt is real, and for some people, it has changed the way they see faith, community, and even God.

In this episode of Thirty Flirty Faithful, we’re talking honestly about what happens when the place that is supposed to feel safe becomes a source of pain. We unpack disappointment, judgment, hypocrisy, broken trust, and the complicated emotions that can come with being hurt by people within the church.

But we also talk about the difference between people failing us and who Jesus is.

How do we heal without becoming bitter? How do we forgive without pretending something didn’t hurt? And how do we find our way back to community when trust has been broken?

This conversation isn’t about tearing down the Church. It’s about making space for honesty, healing, accountability, and grace.

What does it mean to love yourself from a biblical perspective?

In this episode, we explore the difference between the world’s message of self love and seeing ourselves through God’s eyes. We talk about identity, confidence, insecurity, comparison and the pressure women face to feel like we are never enough.

Rather than making ourselves the centre, biblical self love begins with knowing who created us, understanding our worth in Christ and allowing His truth to shape how we see ourselves. We reflect on what it means to care for ourselves without worshipping ourselves, die to self without despising ourselves, and receive God’s love so that it can overflow into the way we love others.

As always, we are not theologians. We are four women learning, asking questions and trying to place Jesus at the centre of our lives.

What does covenant really mean, and how is it different from a contract?

In this episode, we explore the meaning of covenant throughout Scripture and how God’s promises reveal a love that is faithful, sacrificial and enduring. We discuss the biblical covenants, marriage, becoming one flesh, and how our bodies and relationships were created to communicate a deeper spiritual reality.

Drawing from Scripture and ideas found in Theology of the Body, we reflect on what it means to love with a covenant mindset in a culture that often treats commitment as conditional. We also share how understanding covenant is changing the way we view our relationship with God, marriage and the promises we make to one another.

As always, we are not theologians. We are four women learning, asking questions and trying to place Jesus at the centre of our lives and relationships.

What does it look like to trust God with your relationships when your desires, your past and your timeline don’t always line up neatly with your faith?

In this episode, we have an honest conversation about singleness, sex, marriage, waiting, temptation and the tension that can come with trying to honour God in relationships. We talk about the parts that are complicated, the parts that can carry shame, and what it looks like to let faith reshape the way we think about love, intimacy and commitment.

Some of us grew up in the church. Some of us grew up in society. We all came into this conversation with different experiences, different perspectives, and different questions.

Together, we unpack the messages we were taught about sex, relationships, self worth, and identity. We discuss where the church has sometimes missed the mark, where culture has led us astray, and how both have influenced the way we view intimacy today.

Most importantly, we explore what God’s design actually is. Not through the lens of shame or condemnation, but through grace, truth, and Scripture.
