If I'm being honest, theres been a permeation of "weird" since 2023 began... Maybe this is just how the middle of our life cycle runs, or maybe there's been some higher power at work- forcing us to face our mortality and savor the moments of life we are currently living in.
This brief episode (inspired by an internal monolouge on my evening drive) reflects on my recent encounters with mortality and a hero complex that I feel was born out of experiencing trauma while simultaneously experiencing the joy of "bat-mania" in the summer of 1989. The summer when Tim Burton's first Batman movie came out. Its an odd parallel to draw from, but I hope after listening it will make sense.
