Since Trump started campaigning, he has been behind that microphone nearly every day, sowing division between the left and the right, playing up people's anxieties, fears, and hatreds, and generally pushing relentlessly a different version of reality than the one that actually exists. But for a short window of time, while he is hospitalized, his voice might actually have a chance to fade from their ears for just long enough that they might be reachable. This might be our only chance to talk some sense into them and appeal to their decency, if they have any left at all.
