The title speaks for itself. 

I don't mean this in a fear-based way, but protect your heart. Protect your dream.

It's just that people aren't always going to "get it," even if they have our best intentions at heart. 

And when we're building a dream, we're working on getting our minds right to go after it each day...and it's just not necessary to have someone who doesn't get it put any extra thoughts into our head about why it's not "practical" or what we need to think about or questioning why we're doing it this way or that way, etc.

That said, don't keep your dreams TOTALLY to yourself. Having solid people in your corner (coaches, therapists, mentors, AND peers in similar positions as you) is CRUCIAL to your success and happiness. 

It's not about not sharing your dreams with anyone. It's about sharing them [at least with any extensive detail] with the appropriate people.
