In April 1977, the Scullion family home in West Belfast went up in flames. Thanks to a chip pan, a pound of lard, and the legendary Bridie Scullion.

This hilarious yet true story stars Bridie, eleven children, and a six-week-old baby (me, Brona Scullion), as the house fills with thick black smoke, neighbours call the fire brigade, and chaos spills out onto Glenveagh Drive.

From chip pans exploding to kids jumping out of windows, and from nighties in the street to a fireman saving the day.

This is survival, Scullion style.
