Transformation!
Spiritual transformation is an internal change that reflects the character of Christ and brings about an equal external change. Transformation is the demonstration that the information has taken root. Listen it requires your participation beloved you don’t actually transform yourself. In 2 Corinthians 3:18 Paul said “And we all, with unveiled face, beholding the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from one degree of glory to another. For this comes from the Lord who is the Spirit.
Did you catch what Paul said, “being transformed”. God accomplishes it as the Holy Spirit uses our knowledge, openness and obedience to the Word of God, (i.e., the Mirror) The Word of God is the Mirror. Listen —the idea is not just for us to read the Word, in order to be transform, but rather look at HIM until transformed. Then we can reflect His image. God doesn’t intend that we look like Jesus physically of course, but that we look like him in our attitudes and actions, in our character and conduct. In other words, in our worldview about everything. Spiritual transformation is the development of Christlikeness within the believer that grows from one level of glory to another so that Christ expresses himself externally in righteous words and deeds. Listen the transforming work that God accomplished through Christ is intended for ALL believers- not merely for a small subclass of super saints you hear on the radio, or watch on T.V, internet. Listen you can attend church and you can acquire a great amount of Bible knowledge both are important. But these action in and of themselves won’t change you. As we gaze at the glory of the Lord, we are continually being transformed into Christlikeness, and by continually focusing on Him, the Spirit transforms you more and more into His image. This is a spotlight on the Scripture
