The Rangers currently sit at 24-23 as we near the end of May, and that’s despite having one of the toughest schedules in all of baseball. In the coming 35 games, they face some light competition, so we could be looking at a team at the end of June that is 10+ games over .500. Maybe we’ll be buyers at the deadline, since we don’t need an ace or backend of the bullpen guys to shore up the roster?

They have gotten to this point by employing the best hitter AND pitcher in the American League, which is a nice surprise. Joey Gallo has a chance to do what only MVPs have done, and also something else that’s never been done by a hitter, ever: .300//500/.700. Hayden goes on a Shelby Miller monologue for some reason, and then we talk about how Ariel Jurado has been the unsung savior of the pitching staff. Finally, we do something we haven’t done much this year: talk about non-Rangers, specifically the Minnesota Twins.
