The One when we were chamions again
¡Campeones! Wednesday 9th of May saw Atleti collect its 5th European trophy, 3rd in 3 seasons. The glorious win at Bucharest with 2 goals of tournament top scorer Falcao and a great third one by Diego. Will these be the last European goals to be scored for Atlético by the two excellent marquee players?
The end of La Liga left Atleti just one point away from qualifying for Champions League football next season. The sadness anyway at El Madrigal was on the other side where Villareal was relegated as a consequence of Atleti's 0-1 victory in the closing gameday. Sad day for the yellow submarine.
We have a look ahead at what to expect from the squad in terms of getting reinforcement in key positions and leave mentions of the season and a more thorough look at la cantera for a season finale episode where we hope to have our good friend Martin Rosenow tell us his experience as corresponsal for This is Atleti at the Colombian friendly matches.
