Sometimes becoming who God is calling you to be means letting go of who you used to be.
In the Season 1 finale of This Is H.E.R., we’re talking about disconnecting from old habits, old mindsets, old environments, and old versions of ourselves to make room for what God is doing next.
I’m sharing the things I had to quit doing to hear God more clearly, trust His direction, and step into the woman He’s calling me to become.
Because you can’t always carry the old you into the new season God has for you.
🎙️ This Is H.E.R. — Her past. Her present. Her becoming.
Have you ever looked at your life and asked God, “What are You doing?”
I have.
There was a season where it felt like everything around me was falling apart. I was losing things I had worked for, questioning God, questioning myself, and wondering why I had to go through any of it.
Then I found myself reading the story of Job, and something shifted.
In this episode of This Is H.E.R., I’m sharing one of the most personal seasons of my life and what Job taught me about trusting God when nothing makes sense.
Sometimes we ask God, “Why me?” But what happens when the answer becomes… “Why not you?”
Maybe the season you’re questioning isn’t the end of your story. Maybe God is doing something you just can’t see yet.

Trusting God when nothing in your life makes sense.
We saw the post… but did we really see their life?
In this episode of This Is H.E.R., we’re talking about the assumptions we make from social media, how easily those assumptions turn into conversations, and why we’ve become so comfortable discussing people who aren’t even in the room.
But there’s another side to it: we can’t control what people choose to think about us either.
So let people. Let them assume. Let them talk. You keep focusing on your character, your growth, and who you actually are.
And before worrying about what’s being said at tables you don’t sit at, ask yourself:
What am I saying about people at the tables where I do?

Growth gets uncomfortable when you start recognizing that some of the things you thought were “normal” were actually patterns passed down from generation to generation.
In this episode of This Is H.E.R., Chanié Marie talks about family, accountability, emotional maturity, boundaries, and what it really means to break a generational cycle.
Doing things differently doesn’t mean you don’t love or appreciate the people who raised you. It means you’re choosing what you want to carry forward—and what you want to leave behind.
You can love where you came from without repeating everything that came from it.
Sometimes somebody has to be the first to say, “It stops with me.”
Back in the Day... When I Was Young ❤️
Do you ever miss the old days?
The days of riding bikes until the streetlights came on, knocking on your friend's door instead of sending a text, playing outside until your mom called your name, and making memories without realizing they would last a lifetime.
In this episode of This Is H.E.R., I take a trip down memory lane and reflect on growing up in the '90s and early 2000s. We talk about community, childhood, imagination, and how life felt before the world became so fast-paced. This isn't about wishing we could go back—it's about remembering what mattered most and bringing those values into the lives we're living today.
If this episode reminds you of your childhood, I'd love to hear your favorite memory. Share it in the comments and let's reminisce together.

Does pretty privilege really exist, or is there more to the conversation?
In this episode of This Is H.E.R., we unpack the idea of pretty privilege and explore whether opportunities should be based on appearance or something deeper. We talk about beauty standards, confidence, character, and why true beauty goes far beyond what the world sees.
This isn't about judging who's "pretty" and who isn't. It's about challenging perspectives, embracing authenticity, and remembering that who you are on the inside will always matter more than how you look on the outside.
Join the conversation and let me know your thoughts:
Do you believe pretty privilege is real? 💭🎙️
We spend so much time praying for growth, success, and new opportunities, but no one really talks about what comes with them.
In this episode of This Is H.E.R., we're having an honest conversation about the lessons life teaches you that nobody prepares you for. From success feeling lonely, to your circle getting smaller, to protecting your vision and learning that not everyone will understand your journey, these are the realities of becoming the person you prayed to be.
If you're in a season of growth, this episode is for you.
Question of the week: What's one thing nobody warned you about? 🤍
Friendships break hearts too—but we don't talk about it enough.
In this episode of This Is H.E.R., we're having an honest conversation about friendship breakups, betrayal, outgrowing people, and choosing peace over familiarity. Sometimes the deepest wounds come from people you never expected to lose.
If you've ever had to walk away from a friendship, struggled with disappointment, or realized that not everyone is meant to stay in your life, this episode is for you.
Because sometimes protecting your peace means letting go—and that's okay.
Would you ever give your baby's mother or baby's father another chance?
It's a question that brings out strong opinions, but maybe we're asking the wrong question.
In this episode of This Is H.E.R., we're not talking about whether you should go back—we're talking about why. Before making a decision like that, it's important to ask yourself: What's the intention behind it?
Are you choosing this person because you've both grown, healed, and genuinely want to build a future together? Or are you choosing what's familiar because it's comfortable, lonely, or feels like the easier option?
Join me as we explore second chances, intentional love, co-parenting, growth, and the questions we should all ask before choosing someone again.
Remember: Sometimes the biggest decision isn't whether to go back... it's making sure your heart is going back for the right reasons.
💬 I'd love to hear from you:
Would you choose them again? Why or why not?
