The phrase “This is hypocrisy at its best” was recently used by GOP Senator Tommy Tuberville in response to criticism from fellow Republicans over his controversial military promotion blockade. Tuberville has been holding up hundreds of military promotions in protest of Pentagon abortion policies, but when some GOP colleagues began publicly rebuking him—despite previously supporting similar tactics—he fired back with that line, accusing them of political double standards
