The incarnation of Christ is not some abstract theological thought. It is, rather, a foundational truth and doctrine of the Christian faith. Because Jesus took on human form, we can be restored to the fullness of life that God originally intended.

As we meditate on the coming of Christ this Advent season, we need to dwell deeply on what it means that Jesus has drawn near to us. What does it mean and imply for Jesus to be our Immanuel, God with us?
