In the senior living industry we work in a flood of emotions. But the one consistent emotion we deal with is vulnerability. Our families who come to tour are vulnerable, our residents are vulnerable, our associates can be vulnerable and we as leaders are vulnerable.
What we do with this vulnerability is important, do we stop it or accept it and lead through it? Do we use empathy correctly, or do we tell people to suck it up?
Vulnerability can be your biggest point of difference in your community from a sales perspective and a management perspective. My goal with this episode is to give you examples of opportunities that we can choose to allow our vulnerability to be a tool for success, teamwork and loyalty .
In the episode I mention a new 12 week program I am launching titled: Identifying Patterns for Success: Traits of a High Performing community. In this program I will be focusing on belief, clarity, connection, confidence, courage, consistency and sales. I believe these topics are the secret sauce to a great community. The structure will be a group call once a week, a weekly 1:1 call and lots of encouragement and support along the way.
