we begin in Detroit in the 1960s

from the legendary clubs to rare artists whose records would later ignite the northern soul scene .

Then we fast forward to New York the start of the new millennium ,its a place I thought I new but this was my first visit experiencing Harlem ,The Apollo, radio City theatre and thanks to bobby Womack a trip to 110th street

Personal journey through the sound of the sixties -from Beat to Soul .Vinyl ,Pirate Radio ,British soul ,mods record shops, and obscure gems that shaped the dance floor long before Northern Soul had a name
