Acts 21: 12-14; Ephesians 1:13-14
In this chapter, the disciples express their concerns about Paul going to Jerusalem because they know he will be handed over to the authorities. Despite their worries, Paul remains untroubled; he understands that if this is the end of his life, it will be worth it for the sake of the Lord Jesus. This scripture reveals a Paul who fully trusts in Jesus and is willing to die for Him.
Paul has a heavenly perspective; he once persecuted believers, but after encountering Jesus, he transformed into a disciple tasked with sharing his story of redemption with those who have yet to know the awaited Messiah. Throughout his journeys, Paul finds joy in serving Jesus. He experiences the fulfillment of seeing converts repent and receive the Holy Spirit as the seal of their inheritance in heaven.
Today, take a moment to be grateful that you are on your way to a new home, even as we depart from this life. This new home is filled with love and peace, where we will rejoice with the Father, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit.
