Dundee-born Paul Fitzgerald and Steve Buxey are DiSCOKiNGZ. Scottish music producers, programmers, songwriters & remixers. Active since the early 1990s. Paul began his early music career fronting local Dundee band 'American Excess', achieving significant financial support from 'The Princes Trust', the band gained front-page newspaper headline stories & TV appearances on UK television, before Paul teamed up with Radio 1 Pete Tong's recommended album of the week producer 'ILS' on the project 'HyperActive', gaining TV coverage on BBC TV's 'Dance Energy House Party'. Then came a name change to 'DV8' and teaming up with Stephen Buxey, which spawned a hit song, the "DJ DADO - DV8 Deviant mix" of the TV show X-Files them tune, turned into a dance track, which went on to become a worldwide chart hit. The disco-duo then recorded a follow-up single with Dundee's 'Alexa' (Mary's Prayer) which was released globally & featured on numerous hits compilation albums, and charted in numerous contries. DiSCOKiNGZ have also collaborated with 'Enigma's (Sadness Part 1) Boris Gregorian (Bozidar Ristic), PWL's Tony King & a host of other stars, including 'STEPS' Claire Richards, Lucy Jules (George Michael), Billie Godfrey (Beverley Knight/'Take That'), 'Sigue Sigue Sputnik' front-man Martin Degville and the original soul diva Angie Brown ('Bizarre Inc.' & 'JX'), even Paul O'Grady's incarnation as 'Lilly Savage' wasn't immune to a teaming-up with DiSCOKiNGZ on a charity single for homeless charity 'Shelter' featuring Denise Van Outen & The Gladiators, Paul Fitzgerald also featured in the promo video for the single which was filmed at the Big Breakfast Channel 4 studios in London. DiSCOKiNGZ have been working on a track featuring the talented Kit Clark of 'Danny Wilson' & 'The Swiss Family Orbison'. And have a NEW 2025 single just out called TOUCH ME NOW (RELEASE IT).
