As a military speaker, almost weekly I am speaking to someone who is getting ready to transition out of the #military and I am noticing a huge INconsistency w/ how #veterans:

And the reality is they’re ‘selling the image of a soldier, which is cool, but that is not what is going to get them hired.  I am on a personal mission to help our brave men and women mentally transition from a soldier’s mindset to a business professional’s mindset…  So the goal is I now need them to--

📚 It's why I encourage my veterans and soldiers to become a student, of business and I believe the best way to do that is to utilize the #1 website for job seekers, LinkedIn.   

 📚That’s right, LinkedIn is the social website for business professionals and it’d be the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd website I’d be on if I was beginning my military transition journey.  What other website can you research a job, whose currently in the role, compare their skills to yours, learn about the company, AND connect w/ the hiring manager directly?  As well as sell yourself, promote yourself, and brand your skillsets to that industry.   

 👉🏽 I believe most transitioning veterans have a visibility issue, in tath the market doesn’t ‘see them’ so how can the market ‘hire them’ let's check out this workshop on Linkedin to do just that. 

 This is just one of many strategies I coach, mentor, and train my soldiers on as I essentially created my own military transition program.
