Initially, Russia's invasion of Ukraine garnered widespread condemnation, rallying global support around Ukraine. However, as the conflict protracted, the narrative shifted from a noble struggle over territorial rights to a war seemingly fueled by financial interests.
Despite numerous opportunities to halt the violence, there appears to be a lack of willingness from the Ukrainian side to engage in negotiations. Consequently, the military-industrial complex is now operating at full throttle, profiteering from the distress of the Ukrainian populace.
The nature of this war has deviated from any earlier semblance of justice, if that ever existed. It increasingly is now the exact scenario of attrition that NATO and the United States desired from the outset.
