We are fierce family.

We are authentic, speak the truth in love and we don’t give up on each other.

The whole idea of commitment seems to be a lost quality in today’s culture.

Part of the growth process in each of our lives is not just taking the path of least resistance.

Ecclesiastes 7:21-22

Do not take to heart all the things that people say, lest you hear your servant cursing you. Your heart knows that many times you yourself have cursed others.

Proverbs 19:11

Good sense makes one slow to anger, and it is his glory to overlook an offense.

Proverbs 18:19

A brother offended is more unyielding than a strong city, and quarreling is like the bars of a castle.

Proverbs 17:9

Whoever covers an offense seeks love, but he who repeats a matter separates close friends.

1 Corinthians 13:5

Love does not traffic in shame and disrespect, nor selfishly seek its own honor. Love is not easily irritated or quick to take offense.

Sometimes we get offended because our expectations are not met.

Once you get offended you process everything with that person through that lens.

We transfer our offense so easily…..Never judge someone by the opinion of another

When we’re offended it’s so easy to pull away….Jesus leans in.

Forgiven people forgive people

Big Idea:

You may have a reason to be offended, but you don’t have a right to be offended. Let us become like Jesus.
