SEASON 4 FINALE??? WOW 🥹 First and foremost, THANK YOU! Thank you to every return lander and every new lander of the pod. 🫶🏽 This season was one for the books! This season was fun! I was able to show up as my full self and I love that for me. Over 15 hours of content this season, WOAH! 

I realized season 3 ended in New York and what a full circle moment to end season 4 here too!! I’m reflecting on being in New York and the goodness of God and how far he has brought me. I have grown so much and I have evolved into the woman that God is calling me to be. It’s a beautiful sight to see. 

I will let this episode speak for itself but THANK YOU! I am so grateful and I am beyond proud of myself. In the midst of it all, I continued to show up for myself and for that, I am thankful.

My life in New York is so different than my life in Vegas and I love that for me! I love coming back home to the city and living my best life and then returning home to a slower pace. It’s the balance for me! 

I’m recapping what I’ve been up to this week. I visited this super cute coffee shop in Harlem, “Same Time Tomorrow” it is a Black/woman owned business so you know I had to support! I highly recommend it. The lattes are good and the music playlist is a whole vibe. 

I’ve spent precious moments with my nieces and nephew living in my full aunty glory and I’ll always remember this time with them. Memories are your friend, they last a lifetime. 

I went to a single release party with the two brothers my brother left behind for me and it’s always such a good time 🫶🏽 Qompton’s encouragement will stick with me forever. It’s so dope hearing people’s perspectives of the pod and what they’ve picked up. “You’ve said some real profound shit on there”. 🥹

THE WNBA IS BACK!! I’m beyond excited, I was outside in the lobby of the release party watching 😂 the playoffs are going to be SO GOOD!! Let’s go aces 🎉

Every time I’m in New York I contemplate moving back, but I love where I live! I feel like God placed me there for a reason. I went on a 4.44 mile walk from my grandmas house to Central Park, took a lap around the water and made my way back. I made a pitstop to Trader Joe’s because I live for TJ’s! Plus, I need my go-to items so I can keep the weight my grandma keeps telling me I gained 😂 Walking around the city is such a beautiful feeling, I am always in awe of the beauty no matter how many times I’ve seen it. 

Are you registered to vote? We cannot allow this midterm election to pass us by, we need all hands on deck to get the orange man OUT!! He’s crippling our country and corrupting everyone he can get his slimy hands on. S/O to Macklemore and the other supporting acts who left Ed Sheeran’s tour after he booted off Macklemore after his Pro Palestine comments during a recent show. Everyone with a platform, including celebrities, if not celebrities the most because they reach the masses should be speaking up for what is right and speaking out against what is wrong. 

Also, Trump is not giving you any money for any reason. If he wanted to, he would have already. Just like your boyfriend or girlfriend “if they wanted to, they would.”

I’ve been home in NYC for roughly 48 hours, and I’ve already done so much 😂 I’m sharing my travel, my first day fresh off the plane and into the arms of my best friend, Lorena! We grabbed breakfast and ate it at the park, went and got our nails done together, and finished off with a little retail therapy because I needed shoes for the wedding. Then, I made my way to the city, and my grandma welcomed me in a way that only a grandma can! I got the chance to celebrate my niece and nephews’ birthdays at Chuck E. Cheese with my family, and that was all day one!

Wedding day! Somehow, I always forget a toothbrush. Yes, I’m that person 😂 I went to grab a toothbrush and breakfast and started my day. My bestie accompanied me to my really great friend Lauren’s wedding, and wow, what a beautiful celebration of love! Congratulations, Lauren and Jess 🎉💕 Not only did I get to see my girl Lauren, but I got to see my junior high/high school best friend, Sam!

If you’re a return Lander, you may have heard me talk about Sam in old episodes. Sam saved my life when we were in high school.

TRIGGER WARNING: I was depressed and suicidal.

I was contemplating living, and I told Sam, and Sam told her dad. I learned tonight that Sam thought I was upset with her because of it, but little did she know, I was so grateful.

Fast forward to years later and a similar situation where I had to let my friends know how I was feeling during my recent tough season. It reminded me of Sam and her love and compassion and how I wasn’t alone. I’m reminding you that neither are you. You are never alone because you will always have me. Sometimes, we need that reminder, and we need that support.

This episode is a love letter to myself and a reminder of the goodness of God and how, when you seek Him, you will find Him because He has always been there. You just had to look.

JUSTICE FOR NOLAN WELLS! I will continue to say his name until justice is served! 

Mother Nature is trying to take your girl out but I’m fighting back! The fatigue, the cramps and the backaches? PRAY FOR ME! I’ve basically slept the day away but it was so needed. I’ve been so emotional and after a good cry, I’m feeling better. Sometimes, if it ain’t one thing, it’s another. My family dog, Ace passed away tonight and while he was older and began having some health issues, it never makes it easier and the grief is real. Animals become apart of the family and Ace will definitely be missed. 

Good news! I’m going home 🎉 I am in need of some family time and Gods timing is literally the best timing. One of my friends is celebrating her marriage and I am so happy and excited that I’ll get to be in attendance. Her wedding opened up the opportunity for me to go home and visit and I’m so thankful for it. In this season, I need to be loved on and poured into and prayed over so the timing is perfect.

It’s okay to change your mind. In one season you may or may not do something and in the other, you just might. It’s been so important for me in this season of stillness to understand myself better as I’m evolving into whom God has called me to be. I don’t do the same things I used to, I don’t go the same places I used to, I don’t hang with the same people I used to. I’m remembering that everything is seasonal and not everything happens to me, something’s happen for me. 

I’m sharing tools I’ve added to my tool box over time and boundaries is a big one! Like I always say, when you set boundaries, you have to be okay with it not going your way. The important thing is that you made them known and that you set them for yourself. 

In this episode, I’m talking relationships! Definition: A relationship is the connection, association, or bond between two or more people, groups, or things.

Being unemployed was not on my bingo card! My plan was to take some time to heal on disability/FMLA and then return to my job better, but God had other plans. This season continues to stretch me and grow my faith and for that, I am thankful. It’s hard though. Not knowing what’s next but I’m keeping the faith, hoping and believing and trusting in God. Weeping may endure for a night, but joy comes in the morning! I know that’s what’s next is far greater than I can hope for or imagine. Let’s talk state of the world. Nolan Wells high school had their first home game and didn’t acknowledge him. The navy members on the WSS are finally off the boat and in Thailand after 9 months! Recalls are running rampant. Midterm elections are right around the corner, are you registered to vote? The great migration from South to North has switched to North to South. Southern legislation is racism in display and black, brown and poor people are being targeted. Be kind, for everyone you meet is triggered. I recently took down all the affirmations I’ve stuck onto my bathroom mirror over the last year and whew, there’s a lot of them 😂 I share each affirmation that held me close over the past year and the beautiful story of Moses. Like Moses, God chose each of us individually now, based on our obedience is how the story unfolds. I hope one of the affirmations or the story I tell about serving for the first time at church and how pure and innocent the kids were, so quick to love thy neighbor.
