Biden’s predecessor, Donald Trump, saw his approval rating stay within a narrow 9-point range during his presidency, despite all of the turbulent events and stories during his time in office.

In the most recent poll, 44 percent approved of Biden's job performance. That's 4 points higher than the previous poll, taken July 7-9, 2024.

Biden has a median approval rating of 43 percent. At a similar point in their tenures, Trump, Obama, Bush and Clinton had median ratings of 44 percent, 48 percent, 56.5 percent and 50 percent respectively.
