Our bodies and minds are designed to handle certain levels of stress. There are good stressors and bad stressors.
When stress becomes distress (negative) and is ongoing (chronic) there is a deteriation and break down that begins to take place.
We will discuss what distress looks like and ways to deal with toxic environments based on excerpts from William L. White's book 'The Incestuous Workplace: Stress Distress in the Organizational Family'.
