Learn from the most creative player in pickleball: @thejackmunro  joins the pod. We dive into his origin story of being the youngest ever 5.0 player (before ALW), how he got dubbed “Junior Mint” (just don’t call him that anymore), how his hands got so fast, how he likes to train, where his content strategy comes from and how to fix a backhand.

Jill and KW break down the dollars and “sense” of signing a PPA contract for a player like Grayson Goldin. We do a deep dive on why a pro player who isn’t having success on the APP would sign on the PPA tour. Catch our recap of the APP NYC (Jack won double gold!) and K-Dubs wrote a Pickleball poem!

Out of all the paddles K-Dubs and I have played, we’ve never fully agreed on one paddle, nor have all of our students. You guys, the SMOKE is the paddle of 2025. They HAND WEIGH each of their paddles for static weight, swing weight, and twist weight to make sure you are getting consistency and exactly what you want, they stand by quality and have not had ONE SINGLE smoke returned since launch—which is wild. Like genuinely wild. USE CODE JILLYB and you won’t be disappointed!

Is Pro Pickleball (at least the UPA, aka MLP & PPA) a house of cards ready to fall? They've burned through the cash from their "$75 million" blockbuster merger just 10 months ago, and a bridge loan of $10mm is needed by January 15 for the entity to meet its obligations. What does this means for team owners, investors and shareholders (like Jill) and will we see a repeat of salary wars in 1.5 years when player contracts come up? Jill & Kristin also catch you up on all things "Paddlegate 5.0" and the "Paddle Mafia Fees" the UPA is attempting to collect from paddle companies. The girls also take you through 7 life changing pickleball lessons Jill gave Kristin in 2024 that will undoubtedly help your game, too. Finally, J&K go over some incredible SFIA year end data for pickleball and end with a recap on how they did in their "2024 players to watch" predictions. Next podcast they reveal their 2025 players to watch.
