Financial terms were not announced.  Bartkowski, 28, had two goals and 10 points in 34 games with Providence, the Boston Bruins' American Hockey League affiliate. He had joined the Flames on a professional tryout Wednesday.  Bartkowski had 18 points in 80 games last season with the Vancouver Canucks, where he played for Flames coach Glen Gulutzan, who was an assistant.  In 211 NHL games with the Boston Bruins and Canucks, he has six goals and 42 points.  All Transactions: http://www.tsn.ca/nhl/transactions Expansion Draft Injuries Ottawa Senators forwardBobby Ryan will be out 4-6 weeks because of a broken finger.  Ryan was injured in the third period of a 6-3 win against the Toronto Maple Leafs on Saturday when he was hit on the hand by a puck. He has 12 goals and 12 assists in 50 games this season.  Forward Mark Stone, who was injured after a check to the head from Winnipeg Jets defenseman Jacob Trouba on Sunday, is out with a neck injury. Forward Mike Hoffman, who left the game Sunday, took part in the morning skate Tuesday but is out with a groin injury.  The Senators recalled forwards Casey Bailey and Max McCormick from Binghamton of the American Hockey League on Monday. Each is expected to play.  The Toronto Maple Leafs placed forwardMitchell Marner on injured reserve Tuesday, retroactive to Feb. 15.  Marner missed Toronto's past two games with an upper-body injury and won't play Tuesday against the Winnipeg Jets (7:30 p.m. ET; TSN4, TSN3, NHL.TV). He was injured when he crashed into the boards during a 5-2 loss to the Columbus Blue Jackets on Feb. 15.  The 19-year-old is second on the Maple Leafs with 48 points (15 goals, 33 assists). He ranks third among NHL rookies in scoring, trailing Patrik Laine of the Winnipeg Jets (52 points) and Toronto teammate Auston Matthews (49).  Colorado Avalanche defensemanNikita Zadorov fractured his ankle during practice Monday and will miss the rest of the season.  Zadorov was injured when he collided with forward Mikko Rantanen. Zadorov, a 21-year-old rookie, has 10 assists in 56 games this season.  Pittsburgh Penguins defensemanOlli Maatta is expected to miss six weeks after surgery to repair a hand injury.  Maatta, 22, was injured during the second period of a 4-3 overtime win against the Winnipeg Jets on Thursday. He has seven points (one goal, six assists) in 54 games this season.  Milestones/Records/Honors/Deaths: Winnipeg Jets right wingPatrik Laine, Toronto Maple Leafs center Nazem Kadri and Edmonton Oilers center Connor McDavid have been named the NHL's "Three Stars" for the week ending Feb. 19.  Laine led the NHL with five goals and eight points in four games to propel the Jets (28-29-5, 61 points) to seven out of a possible eight standings points.  Kadri picked up points in each of his four games, totaling 4-2-6 to lift the Maple Leafs (27-20-11, 65 points) to a split of their four contests.  McDavid continued his quest for the Art Ross Trophy, racking up 2-4-6 in three games to guide the Oilers (32-19-8, 72 points) to three straight wins.  Don't expect another addition to Legends Row in Toronto in the near future. As far as Toronto Maple Leafs president Brendan Shanahan is concerned, the bench is full. The four members added Saturday -- Charlie Conacher, Red Kelly, Frank Mahovlich and Wendel Clark -- will suffice until someone from a new generation distinguishes himself.  The Maple Leafs welcomed the four players to Legends Row at a ceremony before they lost to the Ottawa Senators 6-3 at Air Canada Centre on Saturday. Started in August 2014 to honor past greats, the Legends Row monument will have 14 members once the statues of these four inductees are unveiled in the fall.  They join Ted Kennedy, Darryl Sittler, Johnny Bower, Borje Salming, George Armstrong, Syl Apps, Mats Sundin, Dave Keon, Turk Broda and Tim Horton.  Sidney Crosbycollected one goal and two assists to become the 86th NHL player with 1,000 points, capping the night with an overtime goal in the Pittsburgh Penguins' 4-3 defeat of the Winnipeg Jets. The Penguins extended their point streak to eight games (6-0-2).  Crosby (369-633-1,002) got his 1,000th NHL point while playing in his 757th game to become the fastest active player to reach the milestone. He got there six games fewer than Jaromir Jagr (763 games), and is the 12th-fastest in League history.  Crosby became the eighth active player with 1,000 career points and the third to hit the mark this season, following Alex Ovechkin on Jan. 11 and Henrik Sedin on Jan. 20. He also became the third player with 1,000 career points with the Penguins, joining Mario Lemieux (690-1,033-1,723) and Jagr (439-640-1,079).  Crosby, who had at least three points for the 118th time in his career, has averaged 1.32 points per game since beginning his career in 2005-06. Four players in NHL history scored at a higher rate (min. 500 GP): Wayne Gretzky (1.92), Mario Lemieux (1.88), Mike Bossy (1.50) and Bobby Orr (1.39), according to the Elias Sports Bureau.  Elias notes that Crosby (29 years, 193 days) became the second-youngest active player at the time of his 1,000th career point, behind Jagr (28 years, 319 days) on Dec. 30, 2000.  Florida Panthers forwardJaromir Jagr had an assist while celebrating his 45th birthday to become the second player with 1,900 NHL points (759-1,141-1,900), joining Wayne Gretzky (894-1,963-2,857).  Jagr, who has two goals and five assists in eight games on his birthday, became the third skater to play an NHL game after turning 45, joining Gordie Howe and Chris Chelios. Goaltenders Johnny Bower and Moe Roberts also played in the NHL past age 45.  Winnipeg Jetswinger Patrik Laine tallied two goals in Tuesday's game against the Toronto Maple Leafs, setting the franchise record for most goals as a rookie, per Sportsnet Stats. Ilya Kovalchuk previously held the record of 29 from when the club was the Atlanta Thrashers in his rookie 2001-02 season.  Laine also became just the ninth player in NHL history to total 30 goals before turning 19 years old, per Sportsnet Stats. Laine, who turns 19 on April 19, sits behind just superstar Sidney Crosby (33) for the league lead in that category, but his 24 assists don't measure up to Crosby's 33 thus far.  Thanks to a goal and an assist in Saturday's game against theNashville Predators, Minnesota Wild forward Mikko Koivu now owns 600 career points, per com.  The veteran winger has heated up recently, notching six points in his last four games after going without one in the three previous contests. Koivu now possesses 44 points through 57 games this season, a huge scoring rate increase from the previous two campaigns—when he finished with 56 and 48.  Suspensions/Fines:  Winnipeg Jets defensemanJacob Trouba has been suspended for two games, without pay, for an illegal check to the head of Ottawa Senators forward Mark Stone during NHL Game No. 871 in Ottawa on Sunday, Feb. 19, the National Hockey League's Department of Player Safety announced today.  The incident occurred at 6:42 of the third period. Trouba was assessed a minor penalty for illegal check to the head.  Under the terms of the Collective Bargaining Agreement and, based on his average annual salary, Trouba will forfeit $33,333.34. Anaheim Ducks forwardAntoine Vermette has been automatically suspended for 10 games, without pay, for violating Rule 40.3 (Physical Abuse of Officials) during NHL Game No. 840 in Minnesota on Tuesday, Feb. 14, the National Hockey League announced today.  The incident occurred at 7:33 of the third period. For Jokerit, which was criticized for not being tough enough after last season’s first-round loss against Torpedo, the evident willingness to mix it might offer some consolation. But the truth is that the Finns’ hopes of getting something from this game were all but over inside seven minutes. A combative start from the visitor spilled over into an early penalty against Brian O'Neill, and from the power play Bogdan Kiselevich exchange passes with Stephane Da Costa before firing home the opening goal. Despite the game starting half an hour later than Lokomotiv’s meeting with Dinamo Minsk, Kiselevich also claimed the first goal of this year’s post-season. Things quickly got even better for the home team, with Greg Scott making it 2-0 on 6:05. Jan Mursak tidied up a loose puck behind the net and brought play back out in front where Scott glided into the danger zone to shoot past Ryan Zapolski. Jokerit improved, but could not find a way back into the game until midway through the second period when Antti Pihlstrom scored against his former club. But Kiselevich quickly responded to make it 3-1 with his second of the night. Only in the third did the visitor start to really stretch CSKA. Mika Niemi rattled the post after 45 minutes, then a desperate challenge by Grigory Panin resulted in a penalty shot for Tommi Huhtala. But Huhtala could not beat Ilya Sorokin as the young goalie calmly dropped his blocker on the puck, and the two-goal advantage remained. The importance of Sorokin’s save was underlined two minutes later when a powerful Ville Lajunen shot made it 2-3, but Vladimir Zharkov had the final say with an empty net goal to seal the win. That wasn’t the end of the action, though. Two separate rumbles in the last 20 seconds left both penalty boxes full to overflowing. Both teams finished with five players in the bin, while Oliver Lauridsen and Pavel Karnaukhov got an early look at the showers. Typically a weekend celebration, USA Hockey expanded the initiative to a week this year in celebration of the 10th anniversary of Hockey Weekend Across America.  Started in 2008 by USA Hockey, HWAA is an effort to celebrate the game of hockey and those involved at all levels and also expose the game to new audiences.  This year's week-long celebration includes a special theme for each day, including the traditional themes of Wear Your Favorite Hockey Jersey Day (Friday), Try Hockey Day (Saturday) and Celebrate Local Hockey Heroes (Sunday), but this year also includes individual days to salute players (Monday), coaches (Tuesday), officials (Wednesday) and local rinks (Thursday).
