He is joining the Blackhawks front office as special adviser of business and hockey operations and will work in marketing, community relations and with their youth hockey initiatives.  Campbell had 17 points (five goals, 12 assists) in 80 games with the Chicago Blackhawks last season. He signed a one-year contract with the Blackhawks on July 1, 2016 and was an unrestricted free agent.  Campbell had 504 points (87 goals, 417 assists) in 1,082 NHL games with the Buffalo Sabres, San Jose Sharks, Blackhawks and Florida Panthers. He was the Sabres' sixth-round pick (No. 156) in the 1997 NHL Draft.  He helped the Blackhawks win the Stanley Cup in 2010 and won the Lady Byng Trophy in 2012, when he had six penalty minutes in 82 games with the Panthers.  ·         https://www.nhl.com/news/sidney-crosby-sister-st-cloud-state-bio-short-shifts/c-290406530 ·         https://www.nhl.com/news/johnny-gaudreau-jack-eichel-play-charity-game-in-boston/c-290404498 ·         Defenseman Andrew Ference announced his retirement from the NHL on Thursday after 16 seasons.  He didn't play last season because of a hip injury that had limited him to six games with the Edmonton Oilers in 2015-16.  Ference, 38, had 225 points (43 goals, 182 assists) in 907 games with the Oilers, Boston Bruins, Calgary Flames and Pittsburgh Penguins. He helped the Bruins win the Stanley Cup in 2011 and reached the Final with the Flames in 2004. He was captain of the Oilers from 2013-15 and won the King Clancy Memorial Trophy in 2014, an award given to the NHL player who best exemplifies leadership qualities on and off the ice and who has made a significant humanitarian contribution to his community.  Ference helped Portland of the Western Hockey League win the Memorial Cup in 1998 and played for Canada at the 1999 IIHF World Junior Championship.
