In this podcast, dancer and choreographer Thomas E.S. Kelly talks with Ande, tracing his career to its current point where he has devised his first full-length dance-theatre work [MIS]CONCEIVE. This is a story in dance about how Aboriginal people don’t fit the stereotypes that non-Indigenous people have created of them.
[MIS]CONCEIVE will be presented as part of the Next Wave Festival. It will be performed at Northcote Town Hall, 17-22 May.
Indigenous artist of the week is Asa, a French Nigerian performer. Ande plays Broda Ole from her Beautiful Imperfection album.
