Thomas Jefferson - Ole Wolf-by-the-Ear - authored the Declaration of Independence and served as the 3rd President of the United States.  Being a slaveholder, he was one of the founding members of today's Democratic Party.  He believed in "States Rights" as a guise for giving the privileged few slaveholders the ability to continue practicing chattel slavery ownership of other people.  For this reason, Jefferson is NOT A HOSS.  He did make the Louisiana Purchase though!
