In an ancient Biblical time, King David found himself weighed down with the burden of leading the people. There was upheaval and unrest in the world. It was in the midst of this reality that he wrote Psalm 23, perhaps one of the most well-known passages of scripture. Maybe you feel the weight of life right now too. What, then, does it mean to pause and lean into the strength of God in such a time?
The Lord is my shepherd" is more than the opening words of this Psalm, it is the opening to the peace that God provides and the reminder that in all things "Thou are with me."
