Based Upon Romans 8

There is nothing, absolutely nothing that can overwhelm a believer who continues to place his or her trust in God. This is good news! Further, there is nothing that can diminish God’s love for us. As if that were not enough, all of the heavenly agencies are always working together to effect our good, as long as we love God. He sent us His Son to live a perfect life in human form and fulfill the requirements of the Holy Law that was offended. When Jesus lives inside us, we become heirs of eternal life and the power to life holy lives today. Because of this, we can call on God in prayer as though we have never sinned. Since we have no idea what to pray for, or how, the Spirit, who knows the mind of the Father, groans in unutterable language on our behalf. As I said, all of the heavenly agencies are always working together to effect our good, as long as we love God.

As we await the Second Coming of Christ, it is a relief to know that though times will get so difficult that we will feel like a woman who travails in birth pangs as she anxiously awaits to be delivered of her baby, there is no condemnation for us when we love God and continue to walk according to the leading and power of the Holy Spirit. If God is for us, we are more than conquerors. We cannot lose as we await His glorious appearing and “we long for our bodies to be released from sin and suffering. We, too, wait with eager hope for the day when God will give us our full rights as his adopted children, including the new bodies he has promised us.” (Romans 8:23, NLT).—L.
