Three experienced fishermen from Colliamberley in regional New South Wales died after their 7-metre bar crusher boat capsized off Beachport, South Australia. The men, including 74-year-old Les DeMamuel and 67-year-old Russell Fisher, set off in dangerous conditions despite warnings from local fishermen not to go out. Police confirmed the men had life jackets on board but were not wearing them when their upturned hull was spotted by a passing light plane pilot.
