Three Schools Win NFL PLAY 60 Grants for Physical Activity Equipment Improvements
Douglas Road Elementary, LaMuth Middle School, and Cook-Wissahickon School have been awarded $1,000 NFL PLAY 60 grants for enhancing physical activity equipment. The collaboration between the American Heart Association and the NFL aims to promote student fitness, with a recent Exercise Blitz featuring NFL guests in a 5-day video series. The NFL PLAY 60 app provides exercise videos and personalized avatars to support children's mental and physical wellness. This partnership has been encouraging kids to engage in at least 60 minutes of daily physical activity since 2006.
