The stories you know about yourself are just a fraction, the entire story of who you are and where you are going was written long before you were born.

Three stories

When God first said, “Where are you?” to Adam, He wasn’t playing hide and seek because He knows everything, He was merely saying, “Adam, you need to put off that ugly mask you are wearing, because that mask is a lie, I want you to agree with me once again, that you are fearfully and wonderfully made, that you are a spirit living in a body, that you are beautiful, strong, fearless and productive.” 
As it was then, nothing has changed today. God is all about your identity, so "who are you?" has always been downloaded in the question "Where are you?"
