Welcome to another episode of It Starts Now, the happy hour of finance and business. Today, we are honored to interview Latoya Barrett, Founder of The Time is 120. Here she shares her entrepreneurship journey in building a mobile thrift store. She also explains how to build one.

Latoya and Massuri were both raised by parents who had their own business . Massuri’s mother owned a supermarket in Indonesia and Latoya's father owned a record store in east Flatbush Brooklyn. With that being said we both felt that entrepreneurship was something that was instilled in them from a very young age .

Massuri went to Sanata Dharma Chatolic university in Indonesia and obtained a degree in accounting . Latoya started classes at Berkeley college for fashion management but dropped out after two semesters and never completed the program.

The time is 1020 mission is to create a second hand clothing store that is both fun and memorable, that offers quality vintage and sustainable unique curated finds at cost that is affordable for our customers . By providing a unique shopping experience that isn’t common among other second-hand stores . They hope to grow and expand the business with more mobiles Boutiques and eventually a Brick and mortar location .

Their located in Bushwick Brooklyn is a very Edgy and increasingly evolving industrial area that is home to many creatives and unique businesses . They personally believe that they have added to that flair . They have added a shopping experience/space where all types of people can find unique and rare clothing to assist with hip-stylish dressing that is going on in Bushwick. At a better value than many second hand stores in Brooklyn . They have consistent repeated local customers who check for us weekly because this. They are also bringing in and attracting new potential shoppers and tourist to the area who seek out to shop the bus exclusively .
