#1 - Deliverance is immediate…truth is a journey!

 

Romans 7:14 For we know that the law is spiritual, but I am carnel, sold under sin...

 

For what I am doing, I do not understand.  For what I will to do that I do not practice; but what I hate, that I do.

 

Vs 16 - If then, I do what I will not to do, I agree with the law that it is good.  But now, it is no longer I who do it, but sin that dwells in me.

 

Vs 18 - For I know that in me (that is, in my flesh) nothing good dwells; for to will is present with me, but how to perform what is good that I do not find.

 

Vs 20 - Now if I do what I will not to do, it is no longer I who do it, but sin that dwells in me.

 

Vs 21 - I find then a law, that evil is present with me, the one who wills to do good.

 

Vs 22 - for I delight in the law of god according to the inward man…But I see another law in my members, warring against the law of my mind, and bringing me into captivity to the law of sin which is in my members.

• Spirit man - for God consciousness
• Our Body - world awareness
• Soul gives me self-consciousness

 

#3 - Body guy that is the problem

 

Galatians 5:17 - For the flesh lusts against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh; and these are contrary to one another so that you do not do the thing that you wish.

 

Vs. 18 - But if you are led by the Spirit, you are not under the law.  Now the works of the flesh are evident, which are: adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lewdness, idolatry, sorcery, hatred, contentions, jealousies, outbursts of wrath, selfish ambitions, dissensions, heresies, envy, murders, drunkenness, revelries, and the like: of which I tell you beforehand just as I also told you in time past, that those who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God.

 

Vs. 22 - But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, long-suffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control.  Against such there is no law. And those who are Christ’s have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires.

 

Romans 7:24 – O wretched man that I am!  Who will deliver me from this body of death?  I thank God – through Jesus Christ our Lord!  So then with the mind I myself serve the law of God, but with the flesh the law of sin.

 

Romans 8:5 – For those who live according to the flesh set their minds on the things of the flesh, but those who live according to the Spirit, the things of the Spirit.
