Thriving After Brain Surgery - In Sickness & In Health - Guest: Mike & MJ Clay - DeniseTaylor.live's Couples Love Week Feb 2021

I met Mike in 2013.  He was the first IronMan I ever personally knew. So hearing his journey to emergency brain surgery was a bit shocking. His symptoms didn't seem serious at first - light numbness in his hands and legs. But after just a few weeks, the numbness continued to get intense, making it difficult to walk.  Lots of testing took place and revealed that Mike had compression in his lower skull, causing a syrinx on his spinal cord. He's since learned this is a common birth defect that didn't cause him any issues until age 43. In less than 2 months, he found himself undergoing serious brain surgery. We'll discuss how the Clays faced In Sickness & In Health and how they remained committed to one another and faced it together.
