For the past few months, I’ve had the honor of being a caretaker for my Uncle Derrick—a true father figure to me—as he bravely battled stage 4 pancreatic cancer. Yesterday, we laid him to rest. Needless to say, this has been one of the most challenging seasons of my life. Yet, if I had to do it all over again, I would, with the same family by my side. It was truly an honor to serve such an honorable man. I love you forever, Uncle Bobby. 🕊️💜
I’ll be honest—I’m so confused as to why so many people are being diagnosed with and battling cancer. If your loved one—or if you yourself—are in that fight, PLEASE KEEP FIGHTING. We have to get through this together. I’m praying and rooting for you and your loved ones every step of the way. And to those grieving the loss of someone who has already transitioned, please know you have my deepest condolences. 💐
Because of this, there will be no newsletter today. I simply wanted to share my heart with this community and thank you for your continued love, prayers, and support during this time.
