God is faithful to us. Consistency, reliability, dependability, steadiness, evenness and regularity may not be the flashiest personality types, but people who display loyalty, fidelity, devotion, allegiance, trustworthiness, and faithfulness are the best friends, companions and leaders. Daniel must have been the first Methodist! Daniel 6:10 says, “just as he had done before.” He was methodically a man of prayer – a model of consistency. We see this at the core of Jesus’ life, too. It seemed He was always trying to withdraw to pray. Jesus’ prayer life is one of the most consistent aspects of His personality in the Gospels. Consistency in prayer leads to an influential life.
