Maybe you thought asking meant you didn’t trust Him.

Maybe you were afraid your question would be disrespectful.

Or maybe you’ve carried a “why” for years that you still don’t understand.

In Season 7, Episode 9 of Through God’s Eyes, we continue our Knowing the Father series with:

Can I Ask Father Why?

The prophet Habakkuk had questions too.

He looked at what was happening around him and asked God, “How long?” and “Why?”

Father answered him—but the answer didn’t make everything easier. In fact, it brought Habakkuk more questions.

And yet, Habakkuk stayed in the conversation.

Maybe that’s something we need to remember.

Sometimes asking why is evidence that you’re still talking to Him.

Father already knows what’s in your heart. He knows the questions you’ve spoken and the ones you’ve been afraid to say out loud.

So you don’t have to pretend that you understand when you don’t.

You can bring Him your confusion.

Your disappointment.

Your hurt.

Your questions.

And you can remain close while you wait.

Your question doesn’t have to become distance.

Maybe knowing the Father isn’t reaching a place where we never ask Him why.

Maybe it’s reaching a place where we know Him deeply enough to ask the question…

and stay for the conversation. ❤️

Sometimes we say, “Father, I trust You,” while quietly holding onto our own picture of how everything should turn out.

We’ve already imagined the ending.
We know which door we want to open.
We know which prayer we want answered.
We know how we want the story to go.

But what happens when we can’t see what Father is doing?

Maybe trust isn’t always being able to say:

“I know exactly what Father is going to do.”

Maybe sometimes trust sounds more like:

“I don’t know what Father is going to do… but I know who Father is.”

In this episode, we’re talking about fear, uncertainty, surrender, expectations, and learning to trust Father’s heart when we can’t see His hand.

Because surrender doesn’t mean pretending you don’t care.

Sometimes surrender is placing the very thing you care about most into Father’s hands and saying:

“Father, this is what I want. But I trust You even when I can’t see how this is going to end.”

You may not have the whole map today.

You may only have enough light for the next step.

And maybe that’s enough.

You don’t have to carry tomorrow’s outcome today.

His silence had not meant His absence.

You don’t have to chase someone else’s experience.

You can keep seeking Him.
Keep talking to Him.
Keep opening His Word.
Keep learning His character.
Keep getting to know your Father for yourself.

Because eventually…

knowing becomes stronger than feeling.
