This Sunday, we conclude our study on the Book of Philippians with one of the most recognizable statements in all of Scripture:
“I can do all things through him who strengthens me“ (Philippians 4:13).
These words were written by the Apostle Paul from prison, unjustly incarcerated for preaching the gospel in the Roman Empire. Facing an uncertain future of ongoing pain and maybe even the temptation to despair, he recognized God‘s invitation – to grow further in an unshakable contentment and an uncanny peace provided for him in Christ.
Will we also accept this invitation?
