In this episode of Indian Interracial Marriages Podcast, I bring a story of passion and action.  Many of you may have heard of Kitaabworld, an independent book store online brings South Asian children’s literature to all.  I say that the owners, Gauri Manglik and Sadaf Siddique do all the homework and deliver the knowledge to us at home.  Sometimes in the crowded market, it can be challenging to find books and literature that offers information to us adults and to kids.  So Kitaabworld has taken on the challenge of making things easier for us.

I speak with Gauri Manglik as she tells the story of how the project got started and her love for reading as well as her goal for bringing the love for reading back into our kids lives.  We shall get to hear from Sadaf Siddique another time as we get our schedules figured out for a conversation.  The festival season has started already and Kitaabworld has many books that offer great info about these festivals.  There were things I didn’t know about either so these books helped me and believe me I’m not a big reader.  The illustrations in the books helped me stay focused on learning.
