This is a remarkable passage! These twelve verses contain much that is challenging and they are certainly worthy of serious reflection and consideration, from the very first verse to the last. Paul's description of himself as a prisoner was more than just Paul letting the Ephesians know he was in prison.  He was describing the nature of his relationship with his Lord. In the first two verses of this passage, Paul then explains for whose sake he was a prisoner and why he received God's grace. It was "for the sake of (others!).
