Hey Family,
When we first come to Christ, there's a temptation to live according to our old nature and not according to the gospel. This is true whether we're good little Christians, obeying everything that God has said in an effort to win his approval by our behavior--or if we're NOT so good little Christians, still living according to the sinful habits of yesterday and not enjoying the forgiveness and freedom that can be found in Christ. So every one of us needs to be reminded of the gospel and how to pray it into our souls so that we live more in line with the joy that is found in Christ, rather than our own "good ideas" of what will make us happy.
I hope you have been blessed by our current sermon series, God's Through Way. We've talked about praying through our fears, our tears, and our doubts. In all of these situations Christ is with us. We know that because God assures us it is so. Where can we see that? In his word, the Holy Scriptures. I hope to see you this Sunday at 10 a.m.--and bring your Bible!
