Welcome to another episode of Throwdown!
That's it, folks! 2015 is nearly over! This was a pretty wild year in gaming, so since this is the end of the year special, we wanted to reflect on some of the biggest stories that happened this year.
On this episode we discuss the whole drama between Hideo Kojima and Konami, which ultimately ended with Kojima joining forces with Sony Computer Entertainment. We also talk about E3 2015, which was basically a fan-fic story come to life with the reveals of Final Fantasy VII Remake, Shenmue III, and more. Our final main topic is on Kotaku being blacklisted by Bethesda and ostracized by Ubisoft, a story which split the gaming world in half and made us question what actual "journalism" is.
On top of those main topics, we also talk about Nintendo's further descent into irrelevance in 2015. We also discuss how Virtual Reality has flourished within the last year and how the technology is shaping up for 2016.
