The McOwen family spends long lonely years scanning the asteroid belt for treasure, rare metals, H3, gems, but this trip has been a lean one. They've decided their best bet  for a big payday is a massive snowball, a giant asteroid of almost pure ice. People always need water. They head back in to the inner planets, their haul coaxed back to Mars with giant ion nudge engines while they're in Hibersleep. When they arrive at Mars, the planet is on the verge of war. They and their snowball are caught in what may soon be a war. However, the mining guild has a plan.
