Today we meet Peter De Caluwe, CEO of Thunes – a B2B paytech platform. Peter believes that payments should be just like a Whatsapp message: global, immediate and transparent. He believes that if a text message is instantly sent via the internet, and two ticks are able to tell you that it was delivered and that it was read - he asks why in 2021, can't the same happen with money? Thunes is setting out to solve this challenge. Peter and his colleagues have spent the past five years criss-crossing the globe to sign up partners in more than 100 countries, building a payments infrastructure that enables customers in any one of those markets to make payments – or receive them - in any of the others.
