Following the Fresno County Board of Supervisors moving forward with a map developed by the Fair Representation Coalition, some groups are threatening litigation claiming the redistricting map does not accurately reflect minorities and communities of interest. Plans for a Costco in NW Fresno are moving forward with little pushback from the neighborhood at a recent public scoping meeting held by the Fresno Planning and Development Department. Fresno County is slated to receive $194 million in funds from the American Rescue Plan Act and the community is invited to vote on where the funds should go--essential workers, public sector revenue loss, infrastructure and public health/economic recovery.
