We tend to tense up when people put rules on us. They might be completely reasonable and sensible policies, but just the fact that someone’s telling us what we can or can’t do causes us to bristle up like a porcupine. This tendency to rebel against all forms of authority is a product of our selfish, sinful nature. As Pastor Dan will explain in today’s message, as believers, we have to admit that our sin is pervasive and destructive and then submit to Jesus as Lord over every part of our lives.
