Part - 1: Nigel Short, a grandmaster and vice president of the Fédération Internationale des Echecs (FIDE), stops by the WTJX studio while on his Caribbean tour to discuss the controversy surrounding the integrity of the United States Virgin Islands Chess Federation (USVICF). Guests include John Dempsey, former executive director of Chess Scotland and 2016 & 2018 USVI Olympic team player, and Colin Heim and Caleb Koziarski, two of the founding members of the Frederiksted Chess Club. They discuss their grievances with the USVICF and what they hope to accomplish with the newly formed United States Virgin Islands Chess Association (USVICA).
