Jesus’ sacrifice on the cross is a picture of God’s grace to humanity. Pastor Cody reminds us today that Jesus took on the punishment for our sins so that we can be forgiven if we follow Jesus as our Lord. But, as Pastor Cody points out, this creates a bit of a dilemma – does this mean we can just go on sinning, living in rebellion with God because our sins are already forgiven? While this question comes naturally, it misses the point: those who walk with Jesus have the power and will to pursue Christ instead of sin.
