In this episode of #DearCollegeStudents, I will be talking with Tia Byrd. Tia is a Liberian-American originally from Jacksonville, Florida. She is a junior majoring in Biological Sciences and has aspirations of attending medical school in the future. Love, faith and dedication are the main foundations of her life. Tia balances a heavy course load while also maintaining an active student life on campus. Currently, she is a member of One Mic Poetry Organization, American Medical Women’s Association and she also serves as an Executive Board member of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People and the National Council of Negro Women, Inc. at Florida Atlantic University.
